شروط الاستفادة من السكن الاقتصادي
يتعين على الراغب في الاستفادة من دعم الدولة، ألا يكون له مسكن آخر مسجل في اسمه، إذ يتعين الإدلاء بما يثبت عدم امتلاكه للسكن. ولا يتعين على مقتني السكن الاجتماعي المستفيدين من الإعفاء من الضريبة على القيمة المضافة أن يقوموا ببيع المسكن إلا بعد مرور أربع سنوات من تاريخ اقتنائه، واستخلاص شهادة رفع اليد من إدارة الضرائب عن الرسم العقاري للشقة.
وفي حال الإخلال بالشروط، فإن المقتني يكون عليه أداء مبلغ الضريبة على القيمة المضافة، الذي أعفي منه مع ذعائر التأخير وتكاليف التحصيل، كما أن المسكن يجب أن يخصص للسكن الرئيسي وألا يتم كراؤه أو استعماله لغرض غير السكن، وتسقط كل الامتيازات المخولة للسكن الاجتماعي الإخلال بالشروط التي حددتها الإدارة.
